Singer, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Beth Kille has risen through the ranks of the acoustic-rock/Americana music scene since her debut in 2000. Her music is a hybrid of rock, country, folk and blues that resonates with diverse musical influences ranging from the soul of the Indigo Girls, the grit of Melissa Etheridge, the sultry vocals of Norah Jones & the groove of Ani DiFranco.
She led the highly decorated Madison, WI rock band, Clear Blue Betty, for 6 years, putting out 3 award winning albums. During her tenure, Clear Blue Betty dominated the Wisconsin music scene, garnering a Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) award in 2008 for Best Band of the Southeast Quadrant and 7 Madison Area Music Awards (Rock Album of the year- twice, Rock Band of the Year- twice, Entertainer of the Year, Best Female Vocalist & Song of the Year). Its no wonder John Urban of UPN 14 dubbed her the “Reigning Queen of the Madison Rock Scene.”
Beth has a flare for live performances, and you can tell from the moment she sets foot on the stage that there is a depth and sincerity in every note she plays, every word she sings and in her appreciation of her fans. The diverse styles she plays make for never-a-dull-moment shows. With her far-reaching industry contacts, she’s notorious for pulling in guest artists, ranging from Gospel choirs to bagpipe players.
With a temporary move to Houston in June of 2008, Beth launched her solo career and quickly made a name for herself in the Texas music scene. She returned home to Madison is September of 2009 and continued her solo artist momentum with the release of a self-recorded, critically acclaimed 6 song EP, This Beautiful Beast, which helped her earn 4 additional MAMA awards at the 2010 ceremony (Folk/Americana Album, Song, Artist & Female Vocalist). Beth performs regularly in the Madison area and around Wisconsin.
