- End of the Line
- I Can’t Love you Anymore
- Whatever You Need
- Loved By You
When I moved back to Madison from Texas in 2009, I started playing around Wisconsin as a solo artist for the first time. I’d played with Clear Blue Betty from 2002-2008 and had put out 3 albums with them but really wanted to have something to give to people who were hearing me as just “Beth Kille.”
I didn’t have the funds at the time for a fully produced studio album, so I just recorded this in my apartment. I recruited a few friends who were gracious enough to lend me their talents (Dan Saunders, Julia McConahay, Jim Smith and my husband, Tony) to help me fill out the tracks. I’m definitely no engineer, but I learned a ton in the process of making this album and was pleasantly surprised that people weren’t terribly critical of the recording when they heard it.
The songs on the album were chosen based on what I was playing at the time and what I thought I could pull off in my home studio. Overall it was a great learning experience but I decided its best in the future not to be the recording artist and the producer/engineer all at the same time. I made myself too crazy!
